The University Library has an SMS borrowing notice service, which is currently available to UWA students and allows you to receive borrowing notices via SMS in addition to email.

Borrowing notices delivered via SMS include:

  • Reminders about High Demand and requested loans.
  • Change of due date notices.
  • Request notices where another borrower has requested an item you have on loan.
SMS borrowing notices are sent to the mobile phone number you have provided to the University, as shown in your StudentConnect record. Update your mobile phone number in StudentConnect if you want notifications to go to a different mobile number.

To stop receiving SMS borrowing notices, simply reply ‘STOP’ to any of the SMS notices you receive.

The delivery of SMS notices is restricted to 7:00am - 10:00pm WST, Monday - Sunday.

Note: The University Library will only send you SMS messages in relation to your loans or requests.

Contact the University Library for assistance or if you have any queries regarding SMS borrowing notices.
