UWA Special Collections include Rare materials, Australian Literature, Indian Ocean Maritime History and UWA publications. Special Collections items can be discovered by searching in OneSearch. They must be viewed in the Special Collections reading room on Level 2 of Reid library, by appointment only. Photographic ID is required.
Material is not for loan but may generally be photographed. Some of the collection requires permission to view and we encourage you to contact us in advance of your visit. You can contact Special Collections via askUWA.
The University Archives is responsible for the collection, storage and preservation of records of permanent value, and for making them discoverable and accessible in accordance with the State Records Act 2000. For archives queries please email University Archives.
